چکیده

Abstract Research has been carried out on hydrophobic membranes based polyethersulfone (PES) polymers using Mg(OH) 2 additives. PES are made by blending additive because structurally bound OH groups play an important role. In addition, is also cheap and easy to obtain non-toxic. This study aims improve the performance of membranes, studying effect adding additives into membrane system which was evaluated analyzing changes in surface shape scanning electron microscope, chemical structure ATR-FTIR, porosity, mechanical properties. The being reviewed water permeability testing rejection organic compounds. results SEM photos showed that addition affects structure, where large macrovoids formed modified decreases tensile strength membrane. Additives increases porosity range 12–40%. leads increase performance, with a higher 56.4 L/m ·h·bar 65% rejection. These findings indicate ultrafiltration can be used reduce compounds water.

Modified polyethersulfone membranes for micellar enhanced ultrafiltration of chromium

Separation performances of micellar enhanced ultrafiltration process in Cr(III) and Cr(VI) removal has been evaluated. The neat as well as sulfonated and aminated derivatives of polyethersulfone were tested as the material for membrane preparation while hexadecylpyridine chloride and sodium dodecyl sulfate served as surfactant. It was shown that modified membranes can better reject both forms o...

Potentiometric Determination of Acidity Constants of Some Synthesized Organic Compounds in Organic-Water Media

The acidity constants of some synthesized protonated pyrazolo quinazoline compounds were determined potentiometrically at ionic strength of 0.1 M in DMF: water (60:40 v/v) system at different temperatures (298.15 K to 318.15 K). The pKa values have been found to increase with increasing electron-donating nature of substitutions. Some thermodynamics parameters such as enthalpy (ΔH°), Gibb’s free...
